I told myself when I got Insanity in October that I would do it over and over and over again until I got it right. TLDR: Just go ahead and do month 2, you will struggle, but its worth it alternative is to alternate between month 1 and month 2 days like I do now. I also started seeing alot more changed in my body when I went on to month 2 because it pushed me so much harder. It's like you started insanity all over again, you just have to push to finish and obviously you wont be able to finish the video in month 2 if you cant in month 1, but theres nothing wrong at all with taking extra breaks as needed. I said naaaaa, I am gonna do it anyways, if I don't try how will I know? I was right, it completely obliterated me, and I loved it. I wasn't ready to start month 2, because I felt that month 2 was going to whoop my ass because I couldn't handle month 1. I started lifting weights too in October. I did month 1, didn't see much change, mind you I also did a complete over haul of my life style with eating and working out. I was in the same position, In September I was a huge tub of lard, still am, but I was 285, 6'1.
